Short-cast bottom fishing
ちょい投げ
A light sinker and short baited trace cover nearby sand for whiting and gobies. Long casts are not required to learn where bites occur.
Tackle and preparation
A light casting rod, spinning reel and short bottom rig. Pick a sinker within the rod rating and small hooks for the target.
On the water
- Cast onto clear sand and take up slack.
- Draw the rig a short distance, then pause.
- Repeat the area that produced bites and replace damaged bait.
