Small lures search harbour edges and rocky shallows for mebaru. Slow controlled movement can be more useful than long casts.
Tackle and preparation
Light lure tackle, small jigheads and a landing method that does not require lifting heavy fish with a fine line.
On the water
- Search a shallow layer first.
- Retrieve slowly past structure.
- Count a longer sink only when you can avoid snagging bottom.
