Hitotsu-tenya — shrimp-baited jig

A single weighted shrimp bait is lowered towards bottom for seabream. A natural fall and a readable line are important.
Tackle and preparation
Sensitive boat rod and a shrimp tenya heavy enough to control; follow the skipper’s recommendation.
On the water
- Rig the shrimp straight.
- Lower on a controlled line and recognise bottom contact.
- Lift and let it fall again; respond to a clear take.
